DÜRKOPP ADLER · CLASS 275
275Lockstitch machines with differential top feed
Versatile single-needle special machines for difficult pre-assembly and assembly seams: flat, displacement-free seams and controlled constant or partial fullness.
Controlled material transport
A flat seam or precisely dosed fullness
The bottom feed and differential foot top feed move the layers in a controlled ratio. This prevents layer displacement on critical materials and also makes it possible to add reproducible fullness to one layer.
Class 275 is used in women's, men's and children's outerwear as well as shirts, blouses and dresses. Sewing equipment and guides adapt the same platform to a specific product node.
Applications by topic
Operations covered by class 275

Jackets, trousers and outerwear
Runstitching and topstitching, side and shoulder seams, flat seams on materials susceptible to layer displacement.

Shirts, blouses and dresses
Ruffling, controlled constant or partial fullness and hemming with a reproducible feed ratio.

Waistbands, pockets and zippers
Attaching waistbands while trimming, welt pockets, zippers and trouser flies, plus topstitching velvet parts.
Configuration guide
Choose by feed control and operation
| Configuration | Best suited to | Control and equipment |
|---|---|---|
| 275-140342-01UNIVERSAL | Jackets, trousers and shirts; flat seams and standard fullness operations | Top-feed and stitch length set with adjustment wheels; no compressed air required |
| 275-142342-01FULLNESS CONTROL | Repeated fullness sections and operations with frequent feed-ratio changes | Comfort fullness control by hand or knee for reproducible settings |
| 275-740642-01EDGE TRIMMER | Displacement-free seams on critical materials with simultaneous edge trimming | Separately motor-driven edge trimmer; manual feed/fullness setting |
| 275-742642-01TRIMMER + CONTROL | Complex contours and operations combining trimming with precisely dosed fullness | Edge trimmer plus comfort fullness control for repeatable results |
The final configuration of sewing equipment and guides is selected for the material, seam geometry and product node.

FAQ
Practical selection questions
What is the difference between 140342 and 142342?
140342 uses adjustment wheels for the feed settings. 142342 adds comfort fullness control by hand or knee, useful when fullness values change repeatedly during an operation.
What does the 74… configuration add?
275-740642-01 and 275-742642-01 include an edge trimmer with a separate knife drive. The 742642 version also has comfort fullness control.
Can one configuration cover every listed operation?
The base machine is selected by feed and trimming requirements; the exact operation then depends on sewing equipment and guides. A material and seam sample is recommended before final selection.
